Jane O'Connor Visits CPL

Fancy Nancy author Jane O'Connor visited the library last Tuesday, held in the Chili Town meeting room and read her latest children's story 'Splendiferous Christmas'. Over 200 parents and children attended this fun event. Afterward she signed books for those present. It was really great to see all the Fancy Nancy wannabees in the audience.

Vietnam Mailbag

Nancy Lynch wrote a column, Vietnam Mailbag, for the Wilmington News Journal, during the time of the Vietnam War. She has since written a book by that title based on nearly 900 letters to her from Delawareans who fought in the war as well as some contemporary interviews with some of those veterans. The Chili Public Library has this excellent book in our collection and we were pleased by her recent visit to our library. Be sure to also visit the website http://vietnammailbag.com/ to read more about this book.
