Birth, Death, and Marriage Records Online

A database for you to try is Life Records developed by the Rochester Public Library. Here you can look up birth notices that were published in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and Times-Union for the years between 1978 and 2003.

Paid death notices from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and Times-Union for the years between 1960 and 2006 are also in Life Records.

Marriage notices from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and Times-Union for the years between 1965 and 2003 are in the database as well.

Once you find the newspaper article for a particular name, you may choose to have a scanned copy sent to you via e-mail, or a paper copy sent via standard mail. Directions and cost for the order are on the Life Reocrds webpage.

To get to Life Records from the Chili Public Library webpage. Click on the 'Monroe County Library System Link'. Click on Local History and Genealogy. Then under 'Genealogy Resources' click on 'Life Records'.
