
Last week Alma and Dick Stowe donated to the library a beautifully put together document they wrote which chronicles the history of the The First Presbyterian Church of Chili. The First Presbyterian is one of the oldest church organizations west of the
Genesee River. The parents of Rich Stowe, the town's attorney, the Stowe's state in the forward, "There is no question that this church has been an important part of the culture of the community. Hopefully, this document will provide the reader with an effective and efficient way of becoming familiar with how it has functioned and contributed to the community over its 190 history. The item will soon be part of our reference local history collection.
