Turning 50

Well it had to happen. I will be turning 50 next Sunday. The staff celebrated with cake and cookies. With that it is now time to turn to selected works on the subject of turning 50. Such as Bill Geist's humorous book, The Big Five-Oh - found at our library under the call number 818 G313b. There are two books on the psychology of aging, It's Only Too Late If You Don't Start Now by Barbara Sher - 305.244 S51i; and Awakening At MidLife by Kalthleen Brehony - 155.6 B834a. Moving from books to movies there is the recently released dvd, The Sensation of Sight. It is about an English teacher who goes through a midlife crises, not to say I am doing such. Finally I'd like to take a look at the poetry book, Forever Fifty And Other Negotiations by Judith Viorst - 811 V798f. Are there any books or movies that come to your mind about turning the age when your notice from AARP comes in the mail?
