Retirement of American Flags

The Chili Public Library now accepts old American flags that are to be recycled. Patrons leave the flags in the bin located in the hallway which leads to our server and the Ireland Room. We bring the flags to the American Legion Post 1830 and they have a ceremony to properly dispose of the flags. They do not retire flags from Flag Day through Memorial Day.
